O Movimento Democrático Brasileiro (MDB) saiu como o grande vitorioso do pleito de 2020. Afinal de contas, conquistou o maior número de prefeituras pelo país. Foram 755 prefeituras conquistadas. O segundo partido que mais elegeu prefeitos foi o PP com 666 cadeiras.

 

A ordem segue com o PSD conquistando 631 prefeituras, o PSDB com 486, o DEM com 450 e o PL com 335 prefeituras. O PDT obteve 304 prefeituras, o PSB com 245; o PTB com 204 e o Republicanos com 202 prefeitos. O Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT) que já foi um dos maiores do país em números de prefeituras, fez apenas 174 prefeituras e figura em 11º colocado no ranking. Os dados são dos municípios já consolidados. Em 50 turno estão 50 cidades pelo país. O MDB também foi o partido com o maior número de vereadores: foram eleitos mais de 7 mil pelo país inteiro.
